Roof Garden Automation Using Android Mobile Control.
Project Fee:Negotiable
Project Discount:0
Project Duration:One Month
This system automates the irrigation of a roof garden using a soil moisture sensor and a water pump, all controlled remotely via an Android mobile app. The app communicates with the system (via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi) to manually or automatically water the plants based on real-time soil conditions. It enhances urban gardening by reducing manual effort and optimizing water usage.
Arduino board (Uno/Nano)
Soil moisture sensor
DC water pump
Relay module (to control the pump)
Bluetooth module (HC-05) or Wi-Fi module (ESP8266)
Android smartphone
Power supply (battery or adapter)
Jumper wires
Water tubing
Water reservoir/tank
Breadboard (optional)
The soil moisture sensor measures the moisture level in the soil.
The data is sent to the Arduino, which compares it with a preset threshold.
If moisture is below the threshold, the Arduino activates the water pump via the relay.
The Android app allows manual pump control or displays real-time status via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi.
When soil reaches adequate moisture, the pump turns off automatically.
