Working Principle:

The Pothole Detection Robot is a mobile-controlled robotic system designed to identify and map potholes on roads. The robot is equipped with sensors such as ultrasonic, infrared, or depth cameras to detect surface irregularities and measure the depth of potholes. When it encounters a pothole, the sensors collect data and send it to a microcontroller (like Arduino or Raspberry Pi), which processes the information. The robot can be controlled remotely using a mobile device via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or an app interface. The location data of each pothole can be recorded using GPS and sent to a central database or displayed on a mobile screen, helping municipal authorities plan timely repairs.
