#EHD017 Automatic Theft Detect & Alarm System

The Automatic Theft Detect & Alarm System uses motion sensors to trigger alarms and send alerts, enhancing security for homes and businesses.

Project Fee:Negotiable

Project Discount:0

Project Duration:One Month

Overview:

The Automatic Theft Detection & Alarm System using a PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor is designed to detect unauthorized motion within a protected area and trigger an alarm immediately. This system is a simple yet effective security solution for homes, offices, shops, and restricted zones. It detects the presence of a human body by sensing infrared radiation changes in its surroundings and activates a buzzer or alarm to alert the user. The system can be enhanced further by integrating it with IoT platforms, cameras, or GSM modules for remote notifications.

Working Principle:

This system operates using a PIR sensor, which detects infrared radiation emitted by human bodies. When a person enters the detection range of the PIR sensor, it senses a change in infrared levels and sends a signal to the microcontroller or directly to a triggering circuit. This signal is then used to activate a buzzer, siren, or any other alarm mechanism, thereby alerting the user to a possible intrusion. The PIR sensor is highly sensitive to motion, making it effective for theft detection applications. In advanced setups, the system can also be connected to a GSM module to send SMS alerts or to a microcontroller with Wi-Fi to notify the user through the internet.

Advantages:

  • Detects motion instantly and triggers an alarm.

  • Provides a low-cost and effective security solution.

  • Easy to install and maintain.

  • Can be used in various environments like homes, shops, offices, etc.

  • Energy-efficient as it remains idle until motion is detected.

  • Can be expanded with IoT or GSM for remote notifications.

  • Reduces the need for manual surveillance.

    Materials Required:

    • PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor

    • Buzzer or siren (for audible alarm)

    • Microcontroller (optional, e.g., Arduino UNO, ESP8266, or ESP32)

    • Power supply (5V or 9V battery or adapter)

    • Relay module (optional, for triggering high-power alarms or lights)

    • Jumper wires (for electrical connections)

    • Breadboard or PCB (for assembling the circuit)

    • GSM or Wi-Fi module (optional, for remote alert features)
